YouTube prankster Vitaly Zdorovetskiy is determined to leave his mark on Hollywood, literally.
The Internet personality was arrested Wednesday after climbing up the iconic Hollywood sign on Mt. Lee in Los Angeles.
Video footage shows Zdorovetskiy standing on the historical landmark’s letter “D,” waving a banner that read: “I’M BACK,” according to CBS Los Angeles.
“Whatever he’s doing,” marveled CBS’ helicopter reporter while watching the strange behavior, “it’s not legal.”
While he came down for a rest on the side of a hill at one point, the man then embarked back on his journey as the LAPD looked on.
Officers tried to coax the Russian-born eccentric down from his quest to the top of the sign, but instead he was eventually arrested.
Zdorovetskiy hinted on Twitter earlier in the day that he was planning a high-profile prank, and also teased that he was heading to Miami Thursday, but we’re guessing he won’t make his flight after being taken into custody.
