The annual Latin Grammy Awards will be broadcast exclusively on Univision for another six years

Univision and the Latin Recording Academy signed a six-year deal to renew the Spanish-language broadcaster's rights to air the annual Latin Grammy Awards through 2018.

In an exclusive statement to TheWrap, the companies announced the renewed partnership ahead of the awards show, in its 13th year, which is scheduled for Nov. 15 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

"We are very pleased to continue our longstanding partnership with our friends at Univision," Gabriel Abaroa Jr., president and CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, said in a statement. "For the past seven years, the Latin Grammys and Univision have consistently collaborated to bring viewers unique and dynamic musical performances from today's talented Latin musicians from around the world."

The same day also generated more than five million pageviews and 180,000 uniques across online and mobile.

"Univision is the home to some of the biggest nights in entertainment for Hispanics and as such we are pleased to extend our partnership with the Latin Recording Academy," Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks, said in a statement.

Univision will also begin work on more musical specials with the Academy, according to a statement from both groups.
