We're thinking Tom Cruise is pretty pleased with himself in "Rock of Ages," the star-studded musical well into shooting. The actor released this first look of himself, shirtless, ripped and belting out some hard-edged rock tune (we presume), as Stacee Jaxx, the aging rocker at the center of the story.
The film is based on a Broadway show, telling the story of a young rocker vying for the affections of a budding actress with said aging rocker.
The New Line movie directed by Adam Shankman has a crazy-cool cast, including Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Mary J. Blige, Julianne Hough, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti and Mexican star Diego Gonzalez Boneta.
The film is set to hit theaters June 1, 2012.
