After failing to reach agreement on a carriage extension late last year, Time Warner Cable has reached a deal to keep 28 Sinclair stations on its service.
The deal is expected to be finalized within the week.
The last agreement expired Dec. 31, but both sides agreed to extend the talks until Saturday.
"We're pleased to reach an agreement with Sinclair Broadcasting without any interruption in service to our customers, said Rob Marcus, president and CEO of Time Warner Cable. "We appreciate our customers' patience and support throughout this negotiation, and thank them for their patronage.
