The National League won Major League Baseball's All Star Game for the first time since 1996, and the game scored a primetime ratings victory for Fox on Tuesday.
ALL STAR Fox was Tuesday night's No. 1 network, thanks to the All Star Game's 3.4 rating/10 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic from 8-11 p.m. That number probably is low, since early ratings for live sports programs are generally an approximation.
STILL GOT IT "America's Got Talent" led NBC to a second-place finish. "Talent" scored a 3.3/9 from 9-11 p.m., up 17 percent from last week, when TV audiences were tiny due to the Fourth of July holiday. Overall, NBC averaged a 2.6/8 in the 18-49 demographic for the night.
DOWN AND OUT ABC was Tuesday night's third-place network. New episodes of reality competition shows "Wipeout" and "Downfall," followed by ABC News special "Family Secrets," averaged a combined 1.8/5 in 18-49 from 8-11 p.m. Rounding out the broadcast crop, Spanish-language channel Univision scored fourth place ahead of a night of repeats on CBS.
