On the heels of the 97th Academy Awards, “Good Morning America” celebrated by paying homage to one of the buzziest movies from awards season: “Wicked.”

Monday morning’s episode started with host Robin Roberts trying to decide what to wear. After dubbing all her clothes “boring,” she then spots black robes and a witch’s hat. “Oh my, hello. What do we have here?” Roberts says before trying on the hat. Every time it touches her head, Cynthia Erivo’s version of “Defying Gravity” blares. Roberts quickly decides to don the costume and begins to fly across New York City.

The rest of the three-minute “GMA” introduction is filled with equally silly moments. Lara Spencer appears in all pink as Galinda, complete with a “toss, toss” moment. Michael Strahan tries his hand at the Wizard’s notoriously deceptive microphone. And as for Amy Robach, she appears on the spinning library set of “Dancing Through Life.”

It’s clear that all of these moments were shot on green screen and added into the intro. Still, there’s a local news quality to the bit that makes it charming. Watch the full ABC segment, below:

“After the #Oscars comes the AFTER PARTY! We’ve got the stars, backstage interviews and all the moments you didn’t see right here on GMA,” the show posted on its Instagram account.

“Wicked” had a fairly strong showing during Sunday night’s awards ceremony. The Jon M. Chu musical won for Best Production Design as well as Best Costume Design, putting it in the same two-Oscars camp as “Dune: Part Two” and “Emilia Pérez.”
