Max boldly declares itself “The One to Watch” across its marketing materials and, throughout the second half of 2024, it has lived up to that tag line. This week is the 11th straight week that a Max/HBO title has topped the Samba TV’s Weekly Wrap Report streaming chart.
This week, the honor goes to “Dune: Prophecy,” which is the most-watched streaming program for the second consecutive week. It follows “The Penguin’s” nine-week run in the throne. Can “Dune” make it a clean sweep through the rest of the year? Stay tuned to find out.

“Dune” holds off some stiff competition this week, most of it coming from Netflix’s blizzard of holiday films. No. 2 this week is “Our Little Secret,” the latest holiday rom-com collaboration between the streamer and Lindsay Lohan. It’s clearly a fruitful combination, as 2.0 million US households watched the film over the first five days it was available. This was 40% higher than last year’s buzz-worthy “Falling for Christmas” and 49% higher than its spring “Irish Wish,” both of which were led by Lohan. “Our Little Secret” is joined by another Netflix holiday flick, “The Merry Gentlemen,” which falls to No. 9 this week.
In less merry fare, Netflix continues to score viewership with its true crime documentaries and series. The latest is “Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenet Ramsey,” which comes in at No. 3 this week.
Thriller series account for several of the next entries. Up first is “The Madness,” a new conspiracy thriller from Netflix that debuts at No. 4 this week. Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ thriller “Special Ops: Lioness” is No. 6, sticking around the middle of the chart for another week. And N0. 7 is “Cross,” a crime thriller that has been a sleeper hit for Amazon.
On the lighter side, the Netflix comedy series “A Man on the Inside” with Ted Danson is No. 5 this week. The animated feature-length film “Spellbound” lands No. 8, while Season 12 of “The Great British Baking Show” is No. 10.

Holiday programming took the cake – or in this case, the turkey – over on linear. “The 98th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” telecast on NBC tops the chart this week. The network scored another big-win with its Thanksgiving-day broadcast of “The National Dog Show,” which lands No. 3.
In between those in second is “The Masked Singer,” which benefits from a turkey day airing on Fox. No. 4 this week is the Season 33 finale of “Dancing With The Stars,” with Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson winning the competition.
All of that competition bumped our usual top three down to the middle of the chart. “Yellowstone’s” Sunday, Dec. 1 airing comes in fifth this week, followed by “The Voice” at No. 6 and “Tracker” at No. 7.
Two episodes of “Wheel of Fortune” take No. 8 and No. 9, while a special Wednesday airing of “Saturday Night Live” comes at No. 10.
The Wrap Report provides an exclusive first look at the most watched movies and TV series from the past week across both streaming and linear television sourced from viewership trends collected from Samba TV’s panel of more than 3 million households, balanced to the U.S. Census.
