Mike Roe joined the staff as Weekend News Editor for TheWrap in 2023. Before that, he wrote “The 30 Rock Book” for publisher Abrams and won an L.A. Press Club award for his oral history of “30 Rock’s” “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah.” Previously, Mike spent more than a decade as a journalist for NPR station LAist/KPCC, where he hosted live event series TV Pilot Club and covered arts & entertainment as well as breaking news. He also writes TV drama scripts with his wife, Kristiana. Mike’s previously written for live L.A. talk shows and been part of house sketch teams at several local comedy theaters. He’s crafted pop culture oral history articles on topics including “Parks and Recreation’s” Galentine’s Day and the Los Angeles of “Blade Runner.” In his (too little) free time, Mike reads comics, watches as much TV as possible and nerds out over spirituality, productivity and pro wrestling.
