Antonio Banderas' next directing job will be the sci-fi psychological thriller "Solo," according to Variety.
Banderas will direct from an original screenplay by Erik Jendresen, who also wrote "The Big Bang," in which the actor starred. "Solo" will focus on a Spanish colonel suffering post-conflict trauma and will be shot in English.
"Solo" will be produced by Banderas' Green Moon label, based out of his native Malaga in Spain, and is due in 2012.
