Last week’s Samba TV Weekly Wrap Report was all about thrills, as edge-of-your-seat action series dominated the Top 10. This week, as we creep ever closer to Valentine’s Day, comedy takes the lead in the form of “Kinda Pregnant.”

The movie stars Amy Schumer as a woman so jealous of her friends’ pregnancies that she resorts to wearing a fake baby bump. Hijinks follow, carried along by Schumer’s unique gifts for physical comedy.

“Kinda Pregnant” was a huge hit for Netflix, drawing 1.6 million households in its first five days. Younger millennial households were more likely to watch the film than other audiences, perhaps as this cohort begins building families (and experiencing similar jealousy) of their own.

While comedy and the quest for romance top the chart this week, viewers are clearly still chasing thrills. Last week’s chart-topper, “The Night Agent,” is still bringing in viewers as it sits in second this week. The action series has been on the chart for three straight weeks, never dropping below the second spot. It’s followed by “Paradise,” Hulu’s entry in the thriller game. The post-apocalyptic political series is building momentum, rising from No. 5 on the chart up to No. 3 this week.

We go back to rom-coms at No. 4, with the Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell led “You’re Cordially Invited.” That’s followed by the Season 4 debut of Netflix’s romantic drama “Sweet Magnolias” at No. 5.

“The Menu,” a black comedy/horror film released in 2022, comes in at No. 7 this week after being added to Netflix’s streaming library. Netflix’s final entry of the week is season two of the action series “The Recruit,” which is No. 8 this week,

Max’s ER-centered drama “The Pitt” remains a strong shower, coming in at No. 9 this week. Closing out the list with its sixth consecutive week in the Top 10, is “Beast Games,” which aired its semifinal episode on Amazon Prime Video on Feb. 6.

Over on linear, the week’s big story is obviously the Super Bowl, which was seen in 37.1 million US households. However, the Samba TV Weekly Wrap report excludes sports, which pushes the Super Bowl’s followup, “The Floor,” to the top of the chart. The Rob Lowe-hosted game show kicked off its third season on Sunday, and was certainly aided by having the most-watched program of the year serving as its lead in. It remains to be seen if this represents the show’s ceiling, or if “The Floor” can rope in new viewers.

In second is “The Voice,” a regular top contender that kicked off its 27th season on NBC on Feb. 3. NBC places two more hits on the chart with “Chicago Med” at No. 3 and “Chicago Fire” at No. 5. Squeaking in between the “Chicago” series is the first of three airings of “Wheel of Fortune” on our chart (the perennial favorite also comes in at No. 7 and No. 9 this week).

CBS has a pair of procedurals in the Top 10 this week, with “FBI” at No. 6 and “NCIS: Sydney” at No. 8. “The Price Is Right” closes things out at No. 10.

The Wrap Report provides an exclusive first look at the most watched movies and TV series from the past week across both streaming and linear television sourced from viewership trends collected from Samba TV’s panel of more than 3 million households, balanced to the U.S. Census.
